This position will serve as a Healthcare Policy Analyst to provide research and analysis support for the project

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research of current and previous CMS guidance related to Encounter Data Systems (EDS) & Risk Adjustment Processing Systems (RAPS) process flow, which includes the Risk Adjustment System (RAS) and the Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug System (MARx). This includes accessing and understanding the reports generated by these systems.
  • Assists with technical and analysis requests from the client.
  • Performs detailed business analysis on mailbox inquiries and outlines problems, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Create summary reports and dashboards of inquiries.
  • Support Medicare Part C Encounter Data and Risk Adjustment inquiries and communications from and to the industry through industry mailboxes.
  • Other duties as assigned; such as (but not limited to) research background related to specific inquiries regarding edits or errors

Minimum Requirements/Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • 2+ years’ experience working as a research analyst, healthcare policy experience with CMS preferred. Knowledge and understanding of Risk Adjustment, Medicare Advantage Part C, Part D, and Error Rate Estimation- strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Encounter Data, Risk Adjustment, and Part D PDE data, is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in reading policy and operational guidelines and providing responses to inquiries is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint would be strongly preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, writing, and communications skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is strongly preferred

  • Ability to collect, interpret, and synthesize information into documents in plain language

 

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, Health Policy or related fields.
